JOB OPPORTUNITY: Part-time Press Officer at Fighting Chance Promotions

Salary: To be discussed.

Hours: Flexible working hours adhered around the individual's availability.

Location: Felling, Gateshead. (But most work can be done from home)

Fighting Chance Promotions are one of the leaders in professional boxing promotion in the North East of England, and are looking to add a new recruit to the team.

The part-time Press Officer position is ideal for those currently studying, or for those who have just completed a journalism qualification.

However, all applications will be considered.

Necessary skills: 
•Comfortable in shooting and editing video
•Able to write ‘clean’ copy that is accurate and engaging
•Willing to travel to the Fighting Chance gym regularly for media days and press conferences.
•Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable: 
•Currently studying, or completing a qualification in Journalism
•Knowledge and interest in boxing
•Experience working with MailChimp and Wordpress

Roles involved: 
•Organise press conferences
•Oversee the production of the fight programme
•Write press releases and submit articles to local newspapers
•File fight reports
•Run social media channels
•Manage online YouTube content
•Work alongside Made Television - Fighting Chance’s exclusive television partner.
